The Waight - Sappanwood Dye Pant

The Waight - Sappanwood Dye Pant

Sappanwood dye collection

Our newest dye. Sappanwood and cochineal are combined to get this cheerful pink tone. Lots of highs and lows and variations in color make this dye particularly unique.

This optimistic pink tone is created from a custom blend created by our founder, each piece is hand-dyed over 48 hours and will have variation due to the natural dyes. There will be places where color appears darker and lighter on every piece, making it unique to you, there are no two identical pieces!

These high-rise sweats hug the waist, relax through the hips, and taper at the ankle and cuff for a flattering silhouette— featuring fleece-lined pockets. They are perfect when you want a more put-together option than a classic sweat but don’t want to sacrifice comfort.

Wear your with your favourite tee tucked inside, or with the matching sweatshirt for an easy put-together look.

These articles are made on demand. Delivery time in the US may be up to two weeks.

Product Sustainability

The company only dyes the pieces only after they are ordered. This pre-order model helps managing inventory and ensures there is no overproduction.   Each piece is hand-dyed creating a unique garment.   The waigh focuses on organic raw materials and natural dyes. The organic cotton is farmed domestically in Texas to keep the carbon footprint small. The organic farming technique keeps harmful chemicals away from farmers and out of the water supply. Also, farming locally reduces the carbon footprint compared to importing less expensive cotton from overseas.    Our factory is female-owned and pays fair wages.   The packaging is completely plastic-free and can be curbside recycled. Our note cards are made with seeded paper and can be planted or composted.

100% Organic cotton harvested domestically.   We use various natural dye materials. We partner with local restaurants to use food scraps such as avocado pits and buy the rest from natural dye suppliers.

Machine wash cold, only as often as truly needed. Wash and dry inside out. Tumble dry on lowest setting only. We recommend Ph neutral detergent or plant based. No bleach.

Please consider contacting The Waight about our “Dye take-back program” if a garment you purchased is stained or extremely faded. The Waight can take it back and over dye it to breathe new life into the garment. Prices for overdye services may vary.
