Product Sustainability

For a clean burn and optimal scent diffusion: Aerangis candles are made with lead-free cotton wicks and a 100% plant-based wax blend free from synthetic dyes, parabens, and phthalates. Each candle is carefully hand-poured in small batches in the USA. We work with world-renowned perfumers to craft luxurious scents using only non-toxic and allergen-free ingredients that honor the earth and our bodies.   Jars are handcrafted in small batches by local artisans at Shuili Snake Kiln in Taiwan, a historical factory that has created ceramic goods for over 100 years.   Dust cover is made with biodegradable recycled paper that contains wildflower seeds and instructions on how–when the candle is finished–the dust cover can be “planted” directly in the candle jar with a light layer of soil and some water.   From recyclable boxes to certified compostable shipping materials, Aerangis packaging is 100% plastic-free. Even the smallest details such as stickers and shipping tapes, everything is made with only compostable and recyclable adhesive and paper stock.   We are a proud member of 1% for the Planet.

How to Use

Candle Care and Safety:  
  • Always trim the wick to ¼ inch prior to each use.
  • The first time using the candle, allow the wax to melt to the edge of the jar to prevent your candle from tunneling.
  • Only burn candles for three to four hours at a time.
  • Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans, and any air currents.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Never place a candle on a glass, wooden, or marble surface.
  • Discontinue burning a candle when only ¼ inch of wax remains in the container.
  • If the flame is creating black smoke residue on the inner side of the jar, the flame is too big. Simply extinguish the flame, wait for the candle to cool off, and trim the wick down to ¼ inch before lighting it again.
